Math:  Adding and subtracting mixed numbers with unlike denominators

Science: Test 11/6 over Physical and Chemical Properties of Matter.  Study guide given 10/30.

History: Dutch Trade and the Slave Trade.  Test on 11/12.  Study guide will be given 11/3.

Grammar: Prepositional phrases. 

Writing: Expository Writing.

Literature: Secret Garden test Tuesday, 11/4.  Study guide was given 10/29.  "Lochinvar" Week 3 due 11/7.

Spalding: Section T words.  Test on Friday, 11/7.

History: England Explores and Colonizes

Literature: Finishing Secret Garden.  Study guide will be distributed this week on November 4th.  Quiz Lochinvar Week 2 quiz on Thursday, 10/30.  Please order Voyage of the Dawn Treader now; it is needed on 11/10.

Grammar: Prepositional Phrases

Writing: Expository writing over Harriet Tubman

Spalding:  Spelling test on Thursday, 10/30.

Faculty, staff, and students are invited to honor their family members who have served in the military by filling out a short info form and attaching a photo to be displayed in the library on November 11, which is a school day. 

Please note: photos will not be returned so just send in a copy of your veteran's photo. 

Forms will be sent home with students on Monday, October 20^th and extra forms can be requested from your teacher or downloaded here. Please return the forms to school by Friday, October 31^st.

Math: Multiplication and division of three digit numbers (reteach of 4th grade content)

Science: How Matter Changes.

History: Age of Exploration: Spain and its Critics.  Quiz on Thursday.

Grammar:  Direct Object and Predicate Verbs. Quiz Thursday with labeling and diagramming of Direct Objects, Predicate Verbs, Predicate Nominative, and Predicate Adjectives. 

Writing: Summarizing from a Reference. 

Literature: Reading Secret Garden through Chapter 19.  Quiz over "Road Not Taken" on Thursday.

Spalding: Spelling test on Friday.
